Parole in Place registration kicks off

As of Monday, August 19, a new opportunity began for undocumented immigrants married to U.S. citizens, stepchildren and DACA beneficiaries, as the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has begun to receive applications for the new “Parole in Place” program.

As you recall, the measure, approved by President Joe Biden on June 18, will allow approximately half a million people in this situation to apply for permanent residency without having to leave the country.

Alma Rosa Nieto, Immigration Attorney and Legal Analyst comments on who is eligible under the Executive Action of Joe Biden’s Democratic administration.

She also discusses the DACA beneficiaries who may participate and particularly if Vice President Kamala Harris wins.
