Avian Flu Spreads. California is the latest state to confront the virus known as Avian Flu that has infected dairy cows in14 states. California officials confirmed the presence of H5N1 at three dairies in the Central Valley. While only four dairy workers in the US have become infected with mild symptoms, health authorities are advising people who work with or are exposed to cows and other animals to protect themselves.
