HEALTH MARKETPLACES OPEN TODAY.

tuesday-673x324Although the federal government partially shut down since this morning amidst a congressional budget battle, health exchanges opened for business around the country today. October 1st marks the launch of a six-month period when consumers can shop for health insurance through new marketplaces. This option will be open to 10.2 million Latinos, many of who are currently uninsured. In California, citizens can also register to vote while shopping for insurance. We talk with sources around the country on what consumers should expect, and how to navigate the market exchange in states with different systems.
