Hospitals and their Communities.
Now that the national health care law and health access are in question, advocates are looking at how hospitals are stepping up to the plate to invest in the health of their struggling communities. Researchers checked counties that are ranked among the unhealthiest and the poorest in California and talked to people in the hardest-hit neighborhoods on how to best address their top health issues. Leaders of the study released a revealing report on the community’s perspectives.
