Ban on Trans Fats.
The US food authority gave the food industry three years to end the use of trans fats in the food supply. Trans fats are recognized as a major contributor to artery clogging and heart disease, and are seen as more dangerous than other fat. Trans fats are present in processed foods such as margarines, microwave popcorn and frozen pizzas.
