Demand for health care services is expected to balloon in the next year, due to the expanded insurance coverage of millions of Americans under the Affordable Care Act and the aging of baby boomers. However, the critical shortage of doctors, nurses and other health professionals continues all across the U.S., especially in rural areas and low-income barrios, where hospitals suffer from high vacancy rates. What does this mean for Latinos?
