Former US Rep. Luis Gutiérrez came out of retirement to launch a new campaign called “Our Nation’s Future,” in order to help 1 million permanent residents become naturalized citizens within four years. He explains his plan. Also, as federal agencies swore in thousands of citizens in naturalization ceremonies on July 4th, a citizenship law expert comments on the benefits of naturalization for eligible residents and for local communities. She also stresses on the importance of becoming a new voter this election year. In other news, the Supreme Court ruled that the Biden administration can end the policy known as “Remain in Mexico,” which forces migrants to wait in Mexico during their immigration procedures.

Health for All in California. California will become the first state to extend state-subsidized health insurance to all low-income undocumented residents regardless of age. Gov.
