Monday_673x324MONDAY, NOVEMBER 16
PROGRAM #9088 12:00 PM PST

El Paso Covid-19 Crisis.

Texas tops one million Covid-19 cases, first state in the country. El Paso is its ground zero, with overwhelmed hospitals, tents to treat patients, and a number of mobile morgues. This is a report on the new coronavirus hotspot and the uphill battle to contain it.

Covid-19 Clinical Trials: Latinos Sought. Latinos are among the hardest hit by the coronavirus pandemic, and while they could benefit the most from better treatment, they lag in clinical trials. Medical researchers are reaching out to the community to boost participation of Latinos with early coronavirus infection in Covid-19 clinical trials to develop more effective and safer treatments.

Guest: Dr. José Castillo-Mancilla, Professor, School of Medicine, University of Colorado, Antiretrovirals and Clinical Pharmacology Researcher, Co-Researcher, Covid Prevention Network, Denver, CO.
