Coronavirus: Extra Edition.
Local medical communities continue to struggle with a shortage of healthcare providers. To address this deficit of minority doctors and nurses during Covid-19, a California state lawmaker wants to create a program to get community college students to pursue pre-med training. Also, representatives from local health departments in the Central Valley report about their response to the spread of Covid-19 and the efforts to expand testing and tracing in rural communities.
