On January 1st, the health reform law takes full effect. Coverage under the health insurance marketplace will start and most everyone will be required to buy insurance coverage. Health insurance plans can’t refuse coverage because of pre-existing conditions, subsidies will make coverage more affordable, and Medicaid programs will expand to include more people.
