Covered California, the state’s health benefit exchange, will open for business to the public on October 1st. A Covered California representative joins the edition to discuss the new health insurance plans available to consumers through this online marketplace, and the efforts underway to inform Latinos and other ethnic groups about federal subsidies to purchase health insurance. Consumers polled on the street also share hopes and concerns about the health care reform.
