Latino Voters and Midterms.

Wednesday_673x324WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 24
PROGRAM # 9724 12:00 PM PT

Latino Voters and Midterms.

With less than three months to Election Day, Latino voters are worried about the economy and other issues. What are the issues in their minds and their new interests? How motivated are they to vote in the November election? Are they being contacted by political campaigns? Meanwhile, a national opinion poll shows that many people in the US are beginning to believe that there is an “invasion” in the southern border and are buying false claims against immigrants and Latinos. Political analysts comment on these findings and what they mean going into November. An analyst also comments on Florida’s primary results and Gov. DeSantis warning to prosecute former felons and undocumented residents for violating voting laws.

Guests: Vanessa Cárdenas, Deputy Director, America’s Voice, Washington, DC; Andrea Mercado, Executive Director, New Florida Majority, Miami, FL; Irving Zavaleta, National Programs Manager, Mi Familia Vota, Graham, NC.
