Racial Healing.
In the poor and Latino community of East Salinas, in California, social groups and philanthropists work with the local government to recognize the trauma that racism inflicts on the segregated community and help heal and transform the system. Among the issues this community has been struggling with are police involved shootings, a diabetes epidemic, and chronic disinvestment in education. The stakeholders discuss their vision in this radio roundtable.
