THURSDAY, AUGUST 23
PROGRAM # 8409 12:00 PM PT
Midterm Election Watch.
People close to President Trump, Manafort and Cohen, were found or pleaded guilty to fraud charges, and this brings the issue of rampant corruption in Washington to the forefront of the midterm election. In Oregon, an initiative which seeks to repeal decades-old sanctuary policies will be in November’s ballot. And in California, in an effort to boost conservative voters turnout, Republicans are behind Proposition 6, a ballot measure that would repeal a gas tax that pays for road repairs and transportation. These and other election-related stories are discussed in this edition.
Guest: Jose Lopez Zamorano, Reporter, Washington, D.C; Listeners opinions.
