MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 26
PROGRAM # 7888 12:00 PM PST.
“Mirar Morir.”
Two years after the killing of six people and the disappearance of 43 students in Iguala, Mexico, and as part of a global campaign urging for an investigation that gets to the bottom of the case, independent filmmakers screen the documentary Mirar Morir in the US. Amid a systematic damage-control operation orchestrated by the Mexican government, the journalists explore the role officials of the Mexican Army played in the brutal tragedy in Iguala. Did the Army watch the young students die? Some guests join live from the radio studios of Pomona College.
Guests: Coizta Grecko, Director, Mirar Morir Film, Colectivo Ojos de Perro, Los Angeles, CA; Professor Miguel Tinker Salas, Host of Film Screening, Pomona College, Los Angeles, CA; Reyna Grande, Writer, Los Angeles, CA; Antonio Tizapa, Father of Jorge Antonio, One of the 43 Disappeared Students, New York, NY.
