A recognized Illinois attorney joins this program to talk about her experience dealing with prejudice when working usually as the only Latina attorney in the courtrooms and her analysis about current sexual assault policies and the decline of sexual assault reports by Latinas amid the current climate of fear. Also, at a time when the Trump administration pursues the harshest sentences possible and moves to restart the war on drugs, a US Senator work to shrink jails by legalizing marijuana in the US and a group of state legislators became the first national Latino organization to take a stand to decriminalize cannabis.
