Solar Panels Border.

Mexican poet and internationally-renowned environmentalist Homero Aridjis published an essay proposing a new view for the US-Mexico border: “Instead of a Trump’s wall, let’s build a border of solar panels.” And he concludes: “This would be a truly beautiful wall.” In this conversation, Aridjis expands on his commentary.

Trade War with Mexico? During the presidential campaign, Donald Trump attacked NAFTA as “the worst trade deal ever,” and threatened to impose tariffs on imports of products made in Mexico as a way to bring back jobs to the US. Is he serious about his threats against NAFTA and products made in Mexico? What would happen if he delivers on his campaign promise?

Guest: Dr. Raul Hinojosa-Ojeda, Professor, Department of Chicano/Chicana Studies, UCLA, Co-Founder of North America Development Bank, Los Angeles, CA.
