WEDNESDAY, APRIL 6.
PROGRAM # 7755 12:00 PM PT
Arizona Voting Fiasco.
Voters in the recent Arizona’s presidential primary had to wait in five-hour lines to cast their vote after their voting places were reduced, especially in Phoenix, the state’s largest city, and in areas with higher minority populations. Arizona, a state with a history of discrimination, was subject to Voting Rights Act regulations that were lifted by the Supreme Court. What do the developments in Arizona portend for Election Day?
Guests: Valeria Fernandez, Correspondent, Phoenix, AZ; Alejandra Gomez, Co Executive Director, LUCHA, Phoenix; Rep. Loretta Sánchez, D-California, Anaheim, CA.
