The Deadliest County in the US.
Kern, in rural California, has been dubbed the deadliest county for police killings in the nation. “Police in Kern County have killed more people per capita than in any other US county in 2015,” most of the victims are Latino and there is no real oversight on shootings and use of deadly force by law enforcement, according to a series of reports by an influential British newspaper. This is the first in a special series of on-air conversations with focus on police-community relations in this embattled county.
