At the same time, the year was brightened by the spirit of solidarity during natural disasters and the can-do spirit of newcomers. The news review includes Trump’s presidential inauguration speech, the historic Women’s March on Washington, the failed attempt to repeal and replace Obamacare, the rescission of DACA, the signing into law of the tax bill, the defeat of Trumpism in state elections, and others.
