Environmental organizations are calling on the Mexican government to facilitate the return of activist Gustavo Castro, who witnessed the assassination of Berta Cáceres, indigenous and environmental leader in Honduras. The Lenca leader was attacked at her home, and Gustavo was wounded. His family is calling to lift an immigration alert so that the Mexican national can leave Honduras. In other news, members of the Frente Indígena Campesino de México report that mega-projects authorized by energy reform will take land away from communities, and they call for a law to allow the right to consultation. Martha Elena Ramírez hosts Voz Pública from Mexico City.
