PROGRAM # 8909 11:00 AM PT

Coronavirus: Extra Edition.

A Latino resident who was killed by Vallejo police during public protests against police brutality was unarmed and on his knees with his hands up. This incident has raised outrage to new levels in the area at a time when national protests are resonating with Latinos, especially in communities with a history of police violence or police collaboration with immigration authorities. Analysts discuss Latino anti-racist activism and confront anti-black discrimination within Latino communities. An Afro-Chicana teen student who helped lead a mass Black Lives Matter protest in San Francisco gives her perspective and shares her story.
