This is a Labor Day special interview with Carmen Castillo, the hotel housekeeper-turned-city councilwoman whose story is told in the film “Councilwoman.” The documentary, to be premiered this week on WORLD network, captures glimpses into the life of Castillo during her improbable rise from Dominican immigrant who works full time cleaning hotel rooms, to organizer of the “Fight for $15” per hour minimum wage, to be elected to the City Hall in Providence, Rhode Island.
