Mexico’s Human Rights Champions Speak Out.
Rev. Alejandro Solalinde shares stories of hope and perseverance gathered from his experience as a priest in the highlands of Oaxaca, and bi-national activist Nestora Salgado talks about her case, as an anti-cartel, anti-corruption community police leader turned political prisoner and now champion of Mexico’s political prisoners. They addressed migrant leaders and workers in California’s Central Valley and this program airs the speeches. The program also includes an interview with the lawyer of Michoacan’s self-defense groups, about the release on bail of dozens of prisoners.
