Las Buscadoras.

A group of Mexican mothers who lost hope that authorities will ever find their disappeared children, decided to come together and organize search parties to find their remains. With nothing but shovels and sheer determination, the group now known as Las Buscadoras (The Searchers) has succeeded in finding a number of clandestine graves and about 90 bodies of a list of more than 400 disappeared in Northern Sinaloa state. Two members of the group touring through the US visit our studios, joined by a well-known leader of a community-policing group in Mexico.

Guests: Nestora Salgado, Chief, Olinalá City Community Police, Former Political Prisoner, Fresno, CA; Guadalupe Grajeda, Las Buscadoras, Los Mochis, México; Berthila Beltrán, Las Buscadoras, Los Mochis, México.
