The article “It was the Feds” by journalist Laura Castellanos exposes two killings perpetrated by federal police during the night and early morning of January 6 in Michoacán. Through interviews with family members, witnesses and participants in the acts, the journalism refutes the official version that it was a confrontation, and narrates the assault and extrajudicial executions done by federal police to a group of unarmed former self-defense operatives who were protesting outside city hall in Apatzingán. Martha Elena Ramírez hosts Voz Pública from Mexico City.
