On New Year’s Eve, about 300 protesters marched to the presidential residence, Los Pinos, in Mexico City. These are the mourners of Ayotzinapa, who insist on reminding President Peña Nieto that there will be no new year, be ause the country is missing 43. Meanwhile, in the state of Guerrero, people’s councils have control of 28 municipal governments. The state governor, Rogelio Ortega, warns there could be repression of demonstrations.
