Rogelio Amaya Martinez was forced to declare himself guilty of making a car explode in the downtown area of the Juarez City in the State of Chihuahua. Without an arrest warrant, Amaya Martinez and four other friends were apprehended and presented to the media as criminals. After three years and seventh months, investigations showed that the confession was coerced and made under torture, today they are free. International Amnesty has documented this case and 24 other ones in their annual report on torture, a practice they consider to be prevailing and it’s out of control. This edition is broadcast from Mexico City and hosted by Martha Elena Ramirez.
Guests: (Audio) Rogelio Amaya Martinez, Mexico City; Perseo Quiroz Rendon, Executive Director of International Amnesty in Mexico.
