The Instituto Mexicano de la Radio (IMER), the public radio system with the greatest coverage in Mexico, is celebrating 40 years on the air. IMER’s director Aleida Calleja discusses highlights in the history of this radio network, the current challenges and the vision ahead. Also, a conversation with Alejandro Cabral, the newly-elected representative of AMARC-Mexico, a network of more than 60 community and indigenous radio stations in Mexico, discusses the state of community radio and his plans.
