Mexico Edition: Host Martha Elena Ramírez analyses the situation in the state of Tamaulipas. The federal government announced a new security strategy to combat crime. In this new plan, the national army, naval forces and federal police will double its presence in the state; seaports, airports and highways would be under close surveillance, in addition investigative offices with an assigned prosecutor will be created. Mario Segura, activist and journalist, says the government needs to focus on providing assistance to crime victims. Some of those victims include orphans, people with disabilities and missing persons. Segura, also a kidnapped victim has since abandoned the state of Tamaulipas.
