This week, listeners join the conversation and give their perspective. A listener from California whose father was a victim of forced disappearance in Mexico and who eventually died in California presumably of the effects of torture in Mexico, gives his testimony and comments on Mexico’s Truth Commission. Another listener who works as a guest worker in the fields in Florida reports unsafe working conditions in violation of the H2A contract and complaints about the death this week of a fellow guest worker in a labor camp. An advocate for binational migrant workers examines this case and talks about an open letter sent to Amb. Ken Salazar recommending a new system, with better proitections for migrants.
