With a transfer of 30 million dollars donated by Mexico to El Salvador, the first step was taken to promote the ambitious program of Integral Development for Central America, which includes additional investments for Guatemala and Honduras with the aim of curbing undocumented migration to the U.S. In El Salvador, the funds will be used to plant 50,000 hectares and will involve 20,000 families who will receive five thousand pesos for cultivating two and a half hectares of their own plots. This program, conceived by ECLAC and promoted by President López Obrador, will require financial intervention from the United States, which already announced an amount of 5,800 million dollars, while countries such as the Czech Republic, Estonia, Canada, Germany and the Union European have announced they will join.
