Mexico Edition. Armed civilian leaders in the state of Michoacan accepted the federal government’s offer to be integrated into rural police forces. However, a member of the self defense civilian council clarified that this does not imply that they will give up their weapons or stop fighting. On the other hand, leftist organizations begin marches and take legal steps to repeal President Enrique Peña Nieto’s energy reform. The constitutional law expert Jaime Cárdenas Gracia says that citizens have the right to be consulted on this issue, and explains that the public’s opinion should be considered by the President.
