Mexico Edition.

In the second debate held in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico’s presidential candidates clashed on their proposed approaches to negotiate with Donald Trump or confronting him so that he learns to respect Mexico. López Obrador insisted that an alliance for progress between Mexico, the US, Canada and Central America should be signed. José Antonio Meade stressed that despite the threats the renegotiation of NAFTA will continue, and he proposed to shield customs checking points at the border, to prevent gun trafficking. Ricardo Anaya said he will speak one on one with Trump, because the US is not taking into account that Mexico is protecting U.S. borders, while Jaime Rodríguez Calderón said he would renegotiate treaties regarding oil, and that he also would seize Citibanamex. In the meeting, Obrador was seen slow to confront one of his rivals: Ricardo Anaya, while the candidate nicknamed “El Bronco” called for respect. José Antonio Meade, once again, had to defend the status quo. Martha Elena Ramírez hosts this broadcast, from the Voz Pública program, from Mexico City
