With the strategy of the useful vote, the Mexican government seeks to boost Ricardo Anaya, candidate for the PAN party, to prevent the center-left candidate López Obrador from getting the presidency. 43 days before the elections, López Obrador leads all the electoral polls. According to media reports, the resignation of independent candidate Margarita Zavala will benefit Ricardo Anaya with her 3.7 points of intention to vote. Anaya already announced an upcoming meeting with the declining candidate and attracted to his campaign team the more than 6,000 promoters who supported Zavala.
