More than 30 migrant organizations based in the US seek to publicly dialogue with candidates for the presidency of Mexico. The Mexican nationals plan to ask the presidential hopefuls to improve the consular services for Mexico’s emigres and to create in the country a system of care for the deported population that face problems of unemployment, health, and lack of identity documents when in Mexico. The meeting, which has already been confirmed by candidates Margarita Zavala and Ricardo Anaya, will take place on May 4 in Mexico City and will be broadcast on the Internet at www.americas.org. On other topic, a fragment of a speech of corporate mogul Carlos Slim is aired. He defends the construction of the new airport in Mexico City in the former lake of Texcoco, where the companies of the businessman won the main contracts.
