PROGRAM # 8302 12:00 PM PT

Mexico Edition.

The caravan of migrants that travels through Mexican territory to reach the US border has verbally confronted presidents Trump and Peña Nieto, accusing them of not addressing the deep causes for the continuous exodus of Central Americans who flee their countries every year due to hunger and insecurity. To address these issues, the priest, and migrant activist, Alejandro Solalinde Guerra, proposes an economic emergency plan for the region, which would require the participation of the governments involved, the businessmen as well as the official and civil institutions. Solalinde believes that the solution is to generate development and provide health and security to the population, only then it will be possible for the people to root down again and massive migration will be discouraged. Martha Elena Ramírez hosts this broadcast, from the Voz Pública program, from Mexico City.

Guests: (recordings) Statements by President Donald Trump, released by the Raptor X portal, on Wednesday, April 4; message to the nation of President Enrique Peña Nieto, Los Pinos, April 5; Priest Alejandro Solalinde Guerra, Director of the Migrant Shelter, Hermanos en el Camino, Ixtepec, Oaxaca.
