FRIDAY, JUNE 16
PROGRAM # 8090 12:00 PM PT
Mexico Edition.
After the lifeless body of Lesvy Berlin Osorio was found in the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the institution denied that she was its student and did not contradict the version of “suicide” that police leaked to the press. It is now known that the 22-year-old had studied at UNAM, that she spoke fluently several languages, and that she and her mother often attended the Cultural University Center, the place where Lesvy had studied music and painting. Forty five days after her death, the attorney general’s office does not allow Lesvy’s family to see her case records, nor allows that experts in feminicide be part of the investigation, even though the case is already being considered an homicide. Martha Elena Ramírez hosts this broadcast of the Voz Pública program, from Mexico City.
Guest: Araceli Osorio Martínez, mother of Lesvy Berlín Osorio.
