In the nation’s capital, a demonstrator goes on hunger strike in front of the Cathedral, while hundreds of marchers call for the resignation of President Peña Nieto and repudiate political parties. Business groups have also joined the call to resist the government measures. In addition, a witness to the robberies and looting of stores in the state of Mexico points out that those actions were coordinated by hooded youth and robbery experts who, after opening establishments, incited neighbors to steal merchandise and set fire to a warehouse in the presence of state police.
