A report from México City’s main plaza, about the commemoration of the students’ massacre of October 2, 1968. The protesters in the Zocalo add new grievances to the long list: the so-called dirty war of the 70s and its disappeared; the slaughter of peasants in Aguas Blancas, Guerrero, and of indigenous people in Acteal, Chiapas; the attack on the students of Ayotzinapa, Guerrero; and the people who were shot in Nochixtlán, Oaxaca. Martha Elena Ramirez hosts this edition of Voz Pública from Mexico City.
Guests: (recordings) Félix Hernández Gamundi, a member of the Comité Nacional de Huelga of 1968; América del Valle, a member of the Front in Defense of the Land, Atenco; Santiago Ambrosio, Nochixtlán’s Victims Committee; César Ángel Guzmán and Héctor López, two of the victims who were shot in Nochxtlán.
