Mexico Edition.
Towns and organizations from state of Mexico are preparing to file suit against the so-called “Eruviel Law,” which authorizes police forces to use guns to dissolve public demonstrations. In addition, projects exist to construct apartment houses in an aquifer. The law was approved by the state congress. Martha Elena Ramírez hosts Voz Pública from Mexico City.
Guests: José Antonio Lara Duque, attorney and director, Centro de Derechos Humanos Zeferino Ladrillero; Adela Romero, ejidataria, San Salvador Atenco, Estado de México; Francisco Jiménez Pablo, Frente Indígena Campesino de México, FICAM.
