PROGRAM # 7732 12:00 PM PT

Mexico Edition.

In its annual report, the Inter-American Human Rights Commission declares that in Mexico there are serious human rights violations being committed, and that the complicity between state security agents and criminal groups has motivated forced disappearance, torture, and extrajudicial executions, the grossest examples of which are Ayotzinapa, Tlatlaya, Apatzingán and Tanhuato. Also, Mexico’s Supreme Court recognized the right of family members of two Salvadoran nationals who died in Mexico to seek justice and be compensated. The verdict will benefit all families of migrants who apply for such compensation. Martha Elena Ramírez hosts Voz Pública from Mexico City.

Guest: Ana Lorena Delgadillo, attorney and director, Fundación para la Justicia y el Estado Democrático de Derecho, Mexico City.
