Following the 1968 student massacre, many young people opted for the underground. Martha Alicia Camacho Loaiza, former member of the September 23 League, speaks of the ideals of social justice that motivated students who became guerrillas and described the repression, torture and extrajudicial execution that many suffered at the hands of the Mexican Army and the police forces of the 70s. To date, human rights groups report 533 politically motivated, forced disappearances nationwide. Martha Elena Ramírez hosts Voz Pública from Mexico City.
