The U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights’ visit to Mexico ended with a call to investigate the case of the 43 missing students from Ayotzinapa further, using observations of international experts. The Commissioner,  Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, also recommended that Mexico’s president Enrique Peña Nieto prepare the return of the military to its baracks, strengthen offices of justice, and clean up security corporations, since 98 percent of crimes in Mexico since 2006 have been unresolved because they are not investigated. In this edition, ethnologist  Verónica Villa comments on the struggle of Mexican campesinos and small farmers to stop genetically engineered corn from being planted on their land. Martha Elena Ramírez hosts Voz Pública from Mexico City.
