The peso continues to fall against the dollar, and varied demands for justice and democracy in Mexico also continue. Photo-journalists and Colombians protest outside the Mexico City prosecutor’s office, rejecting the version of robbery as a motive in the case of five people executed in the Narvarte neighborhood. Representatives of the Zapotec people file a lawsuit to avoid the installation of wind turbines in Juchitán, Oaxaca, and report that with a dishonest consultation, the government is attempting to legalize taking away peoples’ lands and rights. Members of the Permanent People’s Tribunal say local political leaders in Mexico are at the service of transnational companies, and the country is currently in a period of pre-insurrection. Martha Elena Ramírez hosts Voz Pública from Mexico City.
