PROGRAM # 7567 12:00 PM PT

Mexico Edition.

The escape of drug trafficker Joaquín Guzmán Loera “El Chapo” has caused distrust and disdain of the Mexican government to grow. Citizens who participate on this edition say that corruption is among the highest officials and the escape of “El Chapo” only distracts Mexicans from the agreements that President Enrique Peña Nieto is promoting in France, or those that he signed with the King and Queen of Spain on their recent visit to Mexico. Some say it is time to decriminalize the consumption and sale of drugs. Martha Elena Ramírez hosts Voz Pública from Mexico City.

Guests: Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong, Secretary of State, Mexico City, Mexico (pretaped); listener calls.
