College teachers and students in Los Angeles hear about the case of 43 students from a teachers’ college in Ayotzinapa, Mexico, who are missing almost two months after engaging in political protests. Mass graves have been found, but not one student, amid an international outcry. The speakers of an event in Los Angeles, which includes a well-known Mexican intellectual and editor of a leading Mexican newspaper, comment about the roots and ramifications of this heinous crime and about the report given by Mexico’s Attorney General, Jesus Murillo Karam on the investigation of the case.
