Biden’s Orders on Climate Change.
New climate change measures.I New Biden’s Actions on Climate Change. As deadly heat waves hit the US and as sweeping climate legislation is being derailed by the opposition in the Senate, President Biden announced executive actions aimed at climate change. He announced funding to help disadvantaged communities deal with heat waves, wildfires, floods and other extreme weather events, and helping families to pay for heating and cooling costs, as well as plans to bolster offshore wind turbines in the Gulf of Mexico. While he didn’t declare a climate national emergency, he left the door open for it. Climate health experts and government officials are being invited to discuss the impact of the new orders on local governments and Latino communities.
