PROGRAM # 9105 12:00 PM PST
Drinking Water for All.
California low-income rural communities of color are the hardest hit by the lack of safe and sustainable drinking water. Yet, they hardly have a voice in the boardrooms where decisions about water resources and drinking water are made. To address racism at the water boards and racial inequities in the communities they serve, California’s water boards are holding several public sessions.
Guest: Adriana Rentería, Director, Office of Public Participation, State Water Resources Control Board, Sacramento, CA; Joaquin Esquiel, Board Chair, State Water Resources Control Board, Sacramento, CA; Esther Sosa, Project Manager, Environmental Defense Fund’s Diverse Partners Initiative, Washington, DC
