More undocumented immigrants can now apply for driver’s licenses or permits in states like Maryland and Nevada. In California, the so-called TRUST Act, a landmark law that prohibits local law enforcement from detaining undocumented immigrants for deportation in minor arrests, is expected to decrease deportations in the state. An immigration law expert reviews those and other new laws and answers listener questions on the immigration and naturalization process.
