More undocumented immigrants can now apply for driver’s licenses or permits in states like Maryland and Nevada. In California, the so-called TRUST Act, a landmark law that prohibits local law enforcement from detaining undocumented immigrants for deportation in minor arrests, is expected to decrease deportations in the state.
